Clean Green! Handmade SWIFFER WETJET MOP PADS - ReUsable & Washable

I clean alot! With 8 dogs, 1 cat, 2 birds, 2 young boys and a 3,500 sq ft. house with wood laminate floors upstairs and tiled floors downstairs, I mop every day. So it is no wonder that I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Swiffer WetJet! It's perfect for small spills and life's little messes, and a workhorse on 'big cleaning day'.

At first I considered the disposable pad design a benefit. Use a pad and throw it away. Use another pad and throw it away. But the more I thought about it, the more I began to feel guilty about the throw away nature of the product. My floors were clean, and it was really convenient to use a pad and toss it in the trash, but this product was not inline with my family's greener lifestyle. Plus, I'm a single mom, and the refills were starting to cost me more money than I was willing to spend. And so, the idea for the washable/reusable pads were born.

Each mop pad is handmade by me, in a small studio at my county home in Loxahatchee, Florida. My company is called GREEN THREADS and I take great pride in my attention to detail. I believe my customers deserve a product that will be durable and last a long time. The pads are made of thick, thirsty 100% cotton terry cloth, with double stitched seams, and 2 rows of heavy duty velcro that attach to the bottom of the WetJet. The pad stays put until you remove it, no slipping at all. They are sightly larger than the base of the WetJet to get into corners, hug the baseboards, and go around furniture. When you are finished mopping, simply remove the pad and toss it in the washing machine. They hold up wash after wash after wash, even if you use bleach. Incidently I am still using the original pads I made almost 2 years ago. They are a bit ragged along the edges, but they still clean great and have alot of life left in them!

There are other handmade reusable/washable WetJet pads on the market. Some are made from flannel, while others are made from microfiber and would be perfect for very light use. They cost a bit less than my pads. I can see the value in the other designs and the price point. My pads are thicker and wider, designed for heavy use and constructed to last a very long time. The cost per pad is $7.99 each, a bit more than the other pads on the market, but I offer FREE SHIPPING if you purchase 2 or more pads, and there is a discount if you purchase 3 0r more.

If you are a Swiffer WetJet devotee (raise your hands!) try my reusable/washable mopping pads. The are eco-friendly and budget friendly. Live greener!
